FAQs

SERVICE:

  • Absolutely! I prepare each dish just for you in your own chalet. No travelling, freezing, or —heaven forbid—leftovers! I purposefully don’t have a central kitchen so that I can prepare each dish especially for you.

  • I've got it covered! I clean up after every meal. Once I’ve finished the cooking, I leave the kitchen as I found it (if not cleaner!). All I ask is that you keep the kitchen as clean as possible for the chef coming in.

  • Dietary requirements aren’t a problem here!

Like I said, each item is made specifically for you in your chalet. That means I can cater to all your needs. I just need you to let me know beforehand, so I can make sure to have the ingredients and substitutes ready. That way you can relax, knowing your dietary requirements are in good hands.

  • No, we have an [insert your kid’s name here]’s menu. That’s right. Each wee one is going to have different taste buds and favourite holiday eats. We want to be able to accommodate your little one’s dream holiday meal too, so get in touch to chat about all things food for your little ones.

  • Bien sûr! Big occasions require extra-special food! I can cater to any kind of occasion—from a birthday bash to a multi-course anniversary dinner. Let me know what you’re looking for, and I can design you a menu that will wow your taste buds!

  • Now, we get to talk about the important stuff! Your package includes a half bottle of wine per person per night. If you think this isn’t enough to keep the party going, don’t worry! I can add more onto your package for a small cost.

The Nitty Gritty:

  • Indeed, I do. Once we discuss your holiday food plans and dates over email, I’ll pencil you into my calendar. Then, I’ll send you an invoice with the full amount that notes the 25% non-refundable deposit. Once I receive your deposit, I’ll Sharpie your dates into the calendar!

The deposit must be paid no later than two weeks after the invoice is sent. Be sure to check the invoice for that date. You don’t want to let it pass you by!

  • The remaining balance has to be paid four weeks before your chosen dates.

  • I take payments in Euros and by bank transfer!

  • You can definitely get started with your booking through the website! Just fill in my booking form online to start the process, and I’ll be in touch with the details.

I know it’s tedious, but please be sure to read through the terms and conditions before you pay the 25% non-refundable deposit. The rules are the rules, and it’s important to know what you’re getting into. The good news is that once this has been paid, your booking is confirmed and your dates will be held for you.

  • As soon as possible! If you know about the requirements when you’re booking, let me know then. It’s okay if you don’t know right then. But do let me know no later than two weeks before you arrive.

I do my best to cater to your needs, but if you haven’t let me know about allergies or requirements before you arrive, I might not be able to provide appropriate food and cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions.

  • I’ve had nightmares of not knowing if something was paid for when I went on holiday. To make it super fair, I’ve decided for you!

The person who books the catering is responsible for ensuring the full amount is paid on time.

  • Did I accidentally trick you with the menu on the home page? Sorry about that.

The menu on the website is just a sample menu and will change based on your needs. I’ll send you the final menu a few weeks before your booking!

  • Yes. You (the person who books Bang On Catering) need to inform the chalet you’ve booked that you’ve hired a private chef to come in and cater.

I will also need the name of the chalet and its contact details, so I can get in touch with them to arrange entry to the chalet before your arrival.

  • If I break anything in the kitchen, I will replace it! It’s only fair. Of course, that means that Bang On can’t be held responsible for anything broken by the clients (ahem that means you hit the après ski too hard).

  • If you need to cancel the booking after the remaining amount has been paid, you won't be refunded. I know it’s bad news bears, but I do the shopping before you arrive, which means I'll already have started to order from our amazing local vendors by then.

If you fail to pay your remaining balance on time, then your dates will be lost and your 25% deposit will not be returned to you. Don’t stress, though! I’ll be in touch before this deadline to remind you. You’ll have some heads up, but don’t let it pass! Being fed on your holiday is not to be missed.

I know this may seem harsh, but in the industry, this is standard practice.

  • If I have to cancel your booking for any reason after the final amount has been paid, I will refund you the total minus the 25% non-refundable deposit. (I did say it’s non-refundable, right? I didn’t imagine that part?)
